The Frida Project | Styled Shoot in Bentonville, AR

The Frida Project

October 19th 2017 | The Ravington | Bentonville - Centerton, AR

I had been innovating this idea in my head of making a styled bridal shoot inspired by the amazing Frida Kahlo. I really wanted to incorporate a lot of the elements that she's known for such as flowers galore, bright colors, braids, etc. However, I really wanted to have to distinct looks for this project. One that was a more modern bride with subtle notes hinting of Frida's style and art, and the other to be straight punch to the face but still modern. I really wanted to incorporate a lot of elements that belonged to my family, because I wouldn't be here without them. I used a surplus of my mother's items, such as wedding rings, table cover that was handed down from generations, and hand-stitched napkins. In the end, everyone who helped out on this shoot surpassed my expectations and blew me away.
