Liz & Aaron
April 22, 2017 | Meadows, Orchards, & Intimate Backyard Venue | Sacramento, CA
Where do I even start talking about how AMAZING this wedding was! Since my wife couldn't travel with me on this trip, my sister Rebeca helped me by being my second shooter and I knew I could rely on her since we've always been a great team. I've known Liz since we were kids, and Aaron I met on that day. I felt so honored to be there as their photographer. All the little details of this wedding were beautiful. We started out going to the apartment of one of Li'z's close friends in Downtown Sacramento. Everyone was relaxed having mimosas, strawberries, cookies, getting their makeup and hair done while The Office was on tv. Funny thing is that when we went over to Aaron's place he happened to be watching the same show. These two were meant for each other! After they both got ready, we went to Elk Grove Park for the first look. You could tell that they were both anxious to be able to spend the rest of their lives together. After family pictures and a really sweet ceremony, we were headed to their intimate backyard reception, but not before we stopped to take some of their pictures at a spot Aaron found a few days earlier. Stunning location! Just STUNNING!! An open meadow full of yellow flowers everywhere with the California mountains in the background. And on the other side, a beautiful apple orchard. They loved the location which made me super excited to get started taking their pics. What really stood out though was the love that they had for each other. Cheeky grins, warm hugs, and tender kisses. It's moments like those that make me love what I do. Once we got to their reception, you could see their planning paid off. From serving tamales, having a churro station, a donut wall instead of cake, a chicken wing station, along with an open bar. As the sun set, all the little twinkly lights came on we all danced under the stars until the end of the night.
