September 8 - Thorncrown Chapel - Eureka Springs, AR
We have been looking forward to this wedding for quite some time. Since July 2017 to be exact. So this is going to be a long read. We met this beautiful couple after they won our love story give away. The point: tell us your love story. Their story blew us away and we had to meet them in person. Ergo, we met took part in one of the best engagement sessions we’ve ever had!
We took pictures of them in a greenhouse (I’ll put the link to the greenhouse shoot right here).
Flash forward to September 8, 2018. We went to Huntsville, AR to begin the day. Will’s grandfather was unfortunately not going to be able to attend the wedding. Will and Andie Mac asked us if we would be willing to drive and take some formal portraits. Since we were 5 minutes away from the Willow Brooke Venue, we proceed to go and meet up with Andie Mac while she was getting ready.
There were so many intimate details, so get ready! Andie Mac designed the wedding invitations herself, which included lace designs take from her own wedding gown. She said “He’s looked at these invitations thousands of times, and he’s never known he’s seen my dress already.” Andie Mac’s mom gave her a pearl bracelet, which needed a team of the whole bridesmaid crew to put on. Will’s mom had passed on a ring to Andie Mac that contained his birth stone on it. After she got dressed in her beautiful gown from Low’s Bridal & Formal, her mom passed on an heirloom veil that was originally her grandmother’s. Throughout the day, we kept hearing about many other unique heirloom items that were passed on to be worn on their special day.
Now the time arrived to drive to Eureka Springs, AR to Magnetic Springs for their first look. We felt it was the perfect spot since their ceremony would be at the gorgeous Thorncrown Chapel. Once we put Will in a perfect spot, it was beautiful to see him turn around and see the bride of his dreams. We were pretty much in tears by that point.
After the family portraits, we then drove to the Thorncrown Chapel. Talk about a beautiful intimate ceremony with all their loved ones! So many beautiful words and moments were exchanged. During the ceremony, there were times for prayers with family members, including one with Andie’s grandfather. Once again, more tears around the whole room. In the end, both of them shared their vows and were OFFICIALLY MARRIED!!!
We then drove back to the Willow Brooke Venue to party for the rest of the night. As soon as they entered, they began their first dance. Seeing them finally let it sink in is what makes us love what we do. They then proceeded to cut their cake. Now, originally they had 2 cakes. A small cake for them two, and a groom’s cake which was Twinkie flavored (literally the best cake we’ve ever had and still dream about). As it turns out, the groom’s cake was almost completely devoured, and someone had apparently eaten THEIR cake. So instead of worrying and panicking, the grabbed a cupcake, and cut that instead. It was one of the cutest moments.
As we mentioned, this was one wedding we were eagerly waiting, and we couldn't have been happier to be there for the both of them.
