Lexi & Eli
February 24th, 2018 | Miners Foundry Venue | Nevada City, CA
I'm so excited to finally be able to share this wedding! Eli reached out to me last year to share with me just how excited he was to finally marry Lexi. I felt honored to be there to capture their day. I knew I was in for a treat whenever I left Sacramento and drove to Nevada City. The closer we got, the more beautiful the surrounding landscape became. As I arrived to meet Lexi at a mountain lodge, I immediately got a feel of how personal all the decorations were. All friends and family were there getting ready together. We ended up doing a first look with Dad and Eli. Let's just say the waterworks started and there were no dry eyes anywhere to be seen. The Miners Foundry venue was beautifully decorated as well. Lexi's mom and others helped with all the styling. There were lots of laughs, smiles, and everyone was happy to be there.
The next day we also ended up driving further up into Nevada City to take all the portraits in the mountains. Now that was an adventure! We basically just drove up a highway and any neat spots we liked, we would just pull over on the side of the road. Except for one part where we felt like we were off-roading, but seeing the sunset behind all the forest was well worth the effort.
Overall, I was extremely happy to have been there for the both of them! Here are some of my favorite shots throughout both days. A list of everyone involved will be at the end of the blog.
The next day we adventured up into the woods and mountains in Nevada City.
